긴급 메시지

우리의 메일 우송 리스트에 있는 모든 사람과 온 세상에 다니며 우리가 만났던 친구들과
교회 감독들에게 긴급 메시지를 발송하라고 성령께서 나에게 강권하십니다.
지구를 흔드는 재난이 곧 발생할 것입니다. 그것은 너무도 두려운 것이기에 우리들 모두,
심지어 가장 경건한 사람들조차도, 두려워 떨 것입니다.

지난 10년 동안 나는 뉴욕 시에 약 천 개의 화재가 발생 할 것이라고 경고해 왔습니다.
그것은 뉴저지와 코네티컷 지역을 포함한 광대한 지역 전체를 삼킬 것입니다. 미국 전역에
걸쳐 주요 도시들은 수 년 전 로스앤젤레스 와츠 지역에서 벌어졌던 것 같은 폭동과 방화를
겪게 될 것입니다.
전 세계의 도시들에서도 폭동과 화재가 발생할 것입니다. 또한 약탈이 벌어질 것이고 이것은
뉴욕의 타임 스퀘어도 마찬 가지입니다. 우리가 현재 겪고 있는 것은 불경기가 아닙니다.
공황도 아닙니다. 우리는 하나님의 진노아래 있습니다. 시편 11편에 “터가 무너지면 의인이
무엇을 하랴”(3절)고 기록되어 있습니다. 하나님은 미국과 또한 다른 나라들의 범람하고
있는 죄를 심판하고 계십니다.

예레미야 선지자는 사악한 이스라엘에게 간청했습니다. “여호와의 말씀에 보라 내가
너희에게 재앙을 내리며 계책을 세워 너희를 치려 하노니 너희는 각기 악한 길에서
돌이키며 너희의 길과 행위를 아름답게 하라 하셨다 하라 그러나 그들이 말하기를 이는
헛되니 우리는 우리의 계획대로 행하며 우리는 각기 악한 마음이 완악한 대로 행하리라
하느니라”(렘18:11-12).

시편 11편 6절에서 다윗은 경고합니다. “악인에게 그물을 던지시리니....불과...태우는 바람이
그들의 잔의 소득이 되리로다.” 왜 그렇게 하십니까? 다윗은 “여호와는 의로우”(7절)시기
때문이라고 대답합니다. 이것은 소돔과 노아의 세대에 내려졌던 심판과 마찬가지로 의로운
심판입니다.

의인은 어떻게 해야 합니까? 하나님의 백성은 어떻게 해야 합니까?
우선 나 자신을 위한 지침으로 받은 실제적인 말씀을 전해 드리겠습니다. 가능하다면 30일간
유지할 수 있도록 부패하지 않는 음식과 세면 용품 그리고 다른 생필품들을 저장해 두십시오.
주요 도시들에 있는 식료품 가게들은 임박하고 있는 재난의 징조만 보이면 한 시간 내에 텅
비고 말 것입니다.

우리의 영적 대응에 대해서는 오직 두 가지 선택이 있습니다. 이것은 시편 11편에 윤곽이
드러나 있습니다. 우리는 “새 같이 산으로 도망하”거나 또는 다윗이 말했듯이 “여호와께서는
그의 성전에 계시고 여호와의 보좌는 하늘에 있음이여 그의 눈이 인생을 통촉하시고 그의
안목이 그들을 감찰하시도다”(4절) “내가 여호와께 피하”리라(1절).

나는 내 영혼에게 말할 것입니다: 도망할 필요 없다....숨을 필요 없다. 이것은 하나님의 의로
우신 역사이다. 나는 내가 밟는 모든 발자국을 부드럽고 인애로운 눈으로 지켜보고 계시는
우리 주님이 그분의 보좌에 앉아 계신 것을 바라볼 것이다. 그분이 홍수들, 불길들, 재난들,
시험들, 모든 종류의 시련들로부터 자신의 백성을 구원해 내실 것을 신뢰하면서.

AN URGENT MESSAGE

I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list,
and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.

AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN.
IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE—EVEN
THE GODLIEST AMONG US.

For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City.
It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut.
Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we
saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.

There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square,
New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression.
We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written,

“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3).
God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the
secular foundations.

The prophet Jeremiah pleaded with wicked Israel, “God is fashioning a calamity against
you and devising a plan against you. Oh, turn back each of you from your evil way, and
reform your ways and deeds. But they will say, It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow
our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart”
(Jeremiah 18:11-12).

In Psalm 11:6, David warns, “Upon the wicked he will rain snares (coals of fire)… fire…
burning wind…will be the portion of their cup.” Why? David answered, “Because
the Lord is righteous” (v. 7). This is a righteous judgment—just as in the judgments of
Sodom and in Noah’s generation.

WHAT SHALL THE RIGHTEOUS DO? WHAT ABOUT GOD’S PEOPLE?

First, I give you a practical word I received for my own direction. Lay in store a thirty-day
supply of food, toiletries and other essentials. In major cities, grocery stores are emptied
in an hour at the sign of an impending disaster.

As for our spiritual reaction, we have but two options. This is outlined in Psalm 11.
We “flee like a bird to a mountain.” Or, as David says, “He fixed his eyes on the Lord
on his throne in heaven—his eyes beholding, his eyelids testing the sons of men”
(v. 4). “In the Lord I take refuge” (v. 1).

I will say to my soul: No need to run…no need to hide. This is God’s righteous work.
I will behold our Lord on his throne, with his eye of tender, loving kindness watching
over every step I take—trusting that he will deliver his people even through floods, fires,
calamities, tests, trials of all kinds.

Note: I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off.
