Dear All,

Greetings from Guinea!  I hope you are all well and not sick with swine flu.

After a  hard week recovering from a cold and malaria, I am happy to report a full recovery.

Praise the Lord!

Thank you all for your prayers and concern.

The center is so quiet without our students here and it got a little bit quieter.

Marie, Mr. Benjamin’s older daughter and a TMICA student, also has left to attend school in Kindia, during our school closure.

And emotionally, I am wearing a little thin. At times, I do feel lonely, more than before.

During the illness, there were also times when, I wanted to go back to the US.

I struggled in prayer during the sleepless nights.

It was hard, but I ended up praying, “Lord, my life is yours, all of me is yours, I will trust you and obey,
only let me hear your voice and be in your presence.”

Please pray for strength, not just physical, but I think mental and spiritual will be more important in the coming months.

Continue to pray for our school opening in June of next year and for political stability to permit development.

And, though I took a week off, it is back to language study and village ministry:

Mr. Benjamin does the Sambouya service. I usually visit Kabaya once a week mostly with kids and some neighbors, and Mr. Joe goes to Manya almost everyday and shares the Gospel with mostly children when he can.

I also have good news to report regarding Reverend Kim from the New York Church. He is able to walk and speak and his recovery thus far has astonished even his own doctors. Pastor Joshua has been preaching there during Reverend Kim’s absence. Please continue to pray for them and for Sarah SMN, who may be ill with malaria in Chicago.

As always, thank you so much for your continuing prayers and support.

In the Lord, Chris in Guinea
